This gallery showcases the environment work I have done on this cut-scene during the production of The Last of Us Part I.

As a Senior Environment Texture Artist, my responsibilities included the creation of materials and shaders as well as all the blend work and application of the shaders, uv'ing, and additional modeling work and set dressing.
I was also in charge of the integration and shader work of most assets outsourced to our partners.

For this area, I worked in close collaboration with Todd Foster and Jon Schmidt, respectively Lead Environment and Lead Texture Artist to create this environment right at the exit of the Subway station.
This cut-scene is quite special to me as it is the first level I worked on when I joined Naughty Dog 2 years ago.
Inspired by references and photos, we tried to remake this environment by revisiting the space created in the original game while conserving the main shapes essential to the composition.
Materials were fully made using Substance 3D Designer - And while these were made for this level, most of them were also put in the base library and can be found throughout the game.

Naughty Dog is a very collaborative studio and as such, various assets, textures and materials are sampled from a shared library. Many thanks to the various other artists on the team for their contribution!
